Adult Day Program Activities in Show Low, AZ, Inspire Creativity and Community Engagement



Members from Lexington Services DTA recently participated in adult day program activities in Show Low, AZ, during a community outing to the Art Alliance of the White Mountains, where they explored artwork, creative displays, and handcrafted pieces from local artists.


Throughout the visit, members had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of artistic styles and materials while spending meaningful time in the community alongside peers and staff.


Exploring Creativity at the Art Alliance of the White Mountains


During the outing, members explored gallery spaces filled with paintings, stained glass pieces, pottery, jewelry, metal work, miniature houses, and other forms of creative expression. The experience encouraged curiosity, conversation, and active engagement as members moved throughout the exhibit spaces viewing different pieces of artwork and artifacts.


Several members shared positive reactions throughout the visit, including comments such as, “It was good,” “Look at all the different artwork,” and “I’m going to tell my parents about this place.”


The outing provided more than just an opportunity to view artwork. It also gave members a chance to experience creativity in a hands-on and meaningful environment while building confidence in a community setting.
